How It Works – Closed-Loop Control System

  1. Material Loading – Bulk material is fed onto the moving conveyor belt via hopper or chute.
  2. Weight Measurement – Two high-precision load cells measure belt load (kg/m).
  3. Speed Measurement – Rotary encoder monitors belt speed (m/s) in real-time.
  4. Flow Calculation – PLC calculates instantaneous flow rate:
    Flow Rate = Belt Load × Belt Speed
  5. Comparison – Actual flow compared to operator-set setpoint.
  6. Correction – Any deviation triggers VFD to adjust belt speed, maintaining target flow.
  7. Totalization – Cumulative throughput displayed and recorded.
